Centro Union is a socially driven nonprofit organization based in Monroe, North Carolina, dedicated to empowering underserved Latino communities locally and addressing poverty-stricken regions internationally. We provide essential services including health and educational programs, faith-based addiction recovery, and humanitarian aid—ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the tools and resources they need to thrive.

MISSION STATEMENT

Centro Union is dedicated to empowering underserved Latino communities and impoverished populations through comprehensive social services, education, and recovery programs. We provide culturally sensitive health initiatives, addiction recovery support, and humanitarian aid to foster resilience, self-sufficiency, and lasting transformation—both locally in Monroe, NC, and in disadvantaged regions worldwide.

We envision thriving communities where every individual has access to quality healthcare, education, and the tools to overcome adversity. Through compassion and sustainable solutions, Centro Union strives to break cycles of poverty and addiction, creating a future where dignity, opportunity, and hope are within reach for all.

Our Celebrate Recovery initiative is faith-based, grounded in the transforming power of Jesus Christ. We believe true healing begins with spiritual restoration, integrating biblical principles with proven recovery strategies.

Familia Adelante: Strengthening Latino Families Together
Empowering Families. Preventing Risk. Building Futures.

Familia Adelante is an evidence-based, psychoeducational program created specifically for Latino/Hispanic youth ages 10–14 and their families. Culturally relevant and research-driven, this bilingual initiative helps families address real-life challenges such as:

 

Acculturation and family stress

Substance use prevention

Risky sexual behaviors

Mental and emotional well-being

 

What to Expect?

The program is offered twice per year

 

Each cycle includes 8–12 weekly sessions (90 minutes each)

 

Sessions are interactive, group-based, and facilitated by trained bilingual/bicultural staff

 

Parents and youth meet separately but concurrently, fostering open dialogue, trust, and growth
